The MSA world is changing fast – the new administration is letting no dirt get under their shoes. However – that also means reporting changes, audits and penalties are in our near future! Are You Ready?
The new CMS administration changed reporting rules that have significant impact on how employers report WC injuries. All diagnostic codes for the injured worker (beneficiary) have to be associated with the first claim reported to CMS by that employer/insurer. That sprained knee you reported on in 2011 now also gets all the lower back diagnostic codes from the 2022 injury. Make sense?
Join us on Feb 25 at 10a MST to learn more from one of the leading experts who works with employers/insurers every day.
Section 111 CMS Reporting Trends – Are You Ready?
CMS will also start auditing claim reporting in February with the resulting Civil Monetary Penalties associated with failed audited reports in March.
